Yapton has a small Village centre with a few shops, St. Mary's Church, the Village Hall and the King George V Playing Fields.
In addition it has several post-war housing estates and the remains of a stretch of the Portsmouth to Arundel Canal which fell out of use during the first half of the 19th Century.
There are still a number of surrounding farm fields used mainly for agricultural purposes and the north end of the Parish is disected by the main train line to London, although the nearest station is Barnham approx. 2.5 miles away.
These photos show the variety of influences on the Village over the past 150 years.
